WU LYF will play in Spain after a 15-year break

WU LYF is the art-rock band from Manchester that became known in the 2010s for hiding the identity of its members and not granting interviews. The English quartet was later revealed to consist of frontman Ellery Roberts, Evans Kati, Tom McClung and Joe Manning. They could not maintain the aura of mystery much longer, especially if they offered concerts like the one they gave in Madrid in 2011.

At a time in the music industry in which the anonymity of artists generated media interest, WU LYF (pronounced “woo life”) achieved excellent reviews from specialized media such as Pitchfork, which assigned its 2011 debut, ‘Go Tell Fire to the Mountain’, the Best New Music label. That was their only album, since the group disappeared for fifteen years.

In 2025 they returned, releasing the single ‘A New Life is Coming’, and now the group has revealed a seven-city European tour that will pass through Spain with Primavera Tours. There will be two dates in Barcelona, at the LAUT, on March 14 and 15. Tickets will be on sale at Fever at a price of 18 euros plus distribution costs starting February 27 at 11 a.m. Excellent opportunity to relive songs like ‘Summas Bliss’ or ‘Spitting Blood’ live.
