Maria Arnal wants to be born again in ‘TICTAC’

Our Album of the Week is going to be ‘AMA’ by Maria Arnal, which she considers a new rebirth, a debut. We have known singles like ‘QUE ME QUITEN’, ‘PELLIZCO’, ‘AMA’ itself and the latest preview has been this ‘TICTAC’ that we choose as Song of the Day today.

If ‘AMA’ implies a rebirth, this song is one of those that best exemplifies it, with very explicit lyrics about it: “I would like to go back, to be born again perhaps / another body, another place, another voice, another look.” With a certain philosophical point, ‘TICTAC’ tries to change some things that we have known in our lives but we have not liked. He talks about “never thinking about later”, “feeling like I don’t lack anything” or “not fearing anything anymore”.

He also talks about a possible reunion that may refer to his cousin AMA (those were her initials), who died at the age of 15 with HIV, and whom he loved like a sister. He tells us about it in the podcast that you can see below these lines.

‘TICTAC’ is also an incredible production in which we find Alizzz and Pau Riutort, as well as Maria Arnal herself, who couldn’t be more vibrant when in its second half she rides on the back of a small rave. Afterwards, the waters return to normal: the structure of a theme that flirts with reincarnation could only be circular.
