Mike Patton, John Stanier, Trevor Dunn and Duane Denison will return to the stage this summer, with the first tour of Tomahawk since 2013.
The Tennessee quartet will embark on their first tour in more than thirteen years this summer. Starting July 18 in its city, Nashville, it will premiere “A Huge Waste of Your Time and Money Tour”a tour in which they will be accompanied by their label mates, Melvinswith whom they already toured in 2003. The band will tour the most important cities in North America.
Tomahawk was active from 2001 to 2014, both inside and outside the studio. “Tonic Immobility”released in 2021, meant the return of the band but the Covid-19 pandemic prevented them from going on tour. Let us remember that in Tomahawk we find the vocalist Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Peeping Tom, Fantômas, Dead Cross…), drummer John Stanier (Helmet, Battles), Trevor Dunn (Fantômas, Mr. Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3) and guitarist Duane Denison (The Jesus Lizard, Th’ Legendary Shack Shakers).
Duane Denison stated: “In the Olympic spirit, Team Tomahawk has decided to give it their all and go for gold once again.” “This tour is a no-brainer. I’m looking forward to it! A Melvins and Tomahawk tour will be a huge success,” said Melvins frontman Buzz Osborne. Band that will feature Dale Crover, Steven McDonald and Coady Willis.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale this coming Friday with the complete list of cities and dates.
