The French electronic music duo remains disbanded, sadly, but that doesn’t mean Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo have stopped celebrating their iconic past with helmets. They recently released a new music video for their 2005 single, “Human After All,” which includes footage of “Electroma”his 2006 science fiction film, edited by Cedric Hervet.
In the video clip for “Human After All,” daft punk They drive a car through the desert and finally through a small town. As they watch neighbors enjoying a sunny day—dining on a café terrace, getting married in a chapel, or pushing their children on the swings—they notice that each of them is also wearing a helmet.
Last fall, daft punk was associated with Fortnite and released a collection of remixes of his album on vinyl “Human After All” to commemorate its twentieth anniversary. Among the artists who participated in this reinterpretation were justice, Soulwax, Basement Jaxx, Erol Alkan and The Juan Maclean. This was the duo’s third studio album, and they did not release a new album until almost ten years later, with “Random Access Memories” in 2013, which would end up being the last work of daft punk.
