Viña Rock cuts ties with pro-Israeli fund KKR

Viña Rock has been acquired by an independent company and is no longer part of Superstruct Entertainment, the live entertainment group which, in turn, is owned by the pro-Israel investment fund KKR. The corporate relationship between numerous festivals and KKR has been highly criticized, leading to the removal of numerous artists from the posters.

In the case of Viña Rock, artists such as Reincidentes, Boikot, Los Chikos del Maíz or Söber have announced their departure from the poster due to Viña Rock’s previous links with KKR.

According to ElDiario.es, Viña Rock now becomes the property of “an independent company belonging to a historical promoter of the event”, in such a way that it is completely separated from the investment fund with interests in Israel, KKR.

Viña Rock will be held on April 30, May 1 and 2 at its usual headquarters in Villarobledo, Albacete, and will soon announce the complete lineup for its next edition, which already includes names such as the Sex Pistols ft. Frank Carter, Turbonegro, Mägo de Oz, La Cabra Mecánica or Sexy Zebras.
