The Barcelona band Exiled to Elba has presented the song “Baliga Balaga”, as he prepares to release his new album “Dolce Vita”.
After releasing his latest LP to date, “Amb little light is trenca the fog” (Satelite K, 22), the Barcelona band Exiled to Elba prepares to launch his new work “Dolce Vita” (Satelite K, 26), opening new paths both in the sound and in the group’s composition. We premiere the video clip for “Baliga Balga”, the last preview that will be released before the full launch of their new project.
Exiled to Elba is a Barcelona indie rock group in Catalan. They released their first album, “Amants Subterranis”in 2012. Their music draws from the tradition of indie and Anglo-Saxon pop rock, although folk, electronic and 90s rock influences are also perceived. The group is made up of Nerea Bassart, Arnau Giordani and Adrian Faure. With “Amb little light is trenca the fog”the band returned after the magnificent “Deus Ex Machina” (2017). In this return, the people of Barcelona relate their sensations, fears and emotions of recent times.
With “Dolce Vita”, Exiled to Elba will explore new terrains of alternative rock and British-influenced post-punk. A more raw and direct sound, with accelerated rhythms and a lot of distortion, fits perfectly with the wave of protest and criticism that the lyrics of the songs on the album experience. The way of singing Arnau Giordani is closer to storytelling and, at times, it seems like the desperate cry of someone who sees the world falling apart.
