Shia LaBeouf, arrested at Carnivals

Shia LaBeouf, at one time one of the most beloved in pop culture for his videos with Sia or Sigur Rós, his relationship with FKA twigs and his roles in films like ‘Nymphomaniac’, is not raising his head. The latest news places him detained at Mardi Gras, the New Orleans carnival.

The actor has been arrested on two charges of assault for which he will have to appear before a judge next week. Shia LaBeouf had already been seen in an erratic attitude during the previous days of Carnival. According to El País, he had appeared in bars, smoking clubs and jazz clubs, sometimes shirtless and without money, trying to take advantage of his fame.

According to some testimonies, he has even “terrorized” Carnival attendees by approaching unknown passersby, and even touching them. In a TMZ video he is seen receiving medical attention, and in another, being reduced.

Shia LaBeouf’s history with mental health and addiction stretches back a decade. Recently he reached an agreement with his ex-partner FKA twigs, who had accused him of abuse and sexual assault.

Shia LaBeouf has linked his past bad public behavior to substance abuse, untreated trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder from his childhood.
