Julieta Venegas and Natalia Lafourcade present “I have to tell you”

“I have to tell you” is the result of the union of Julieta Venegas and Natalia Lafourcadetwo of the most influential voices in all of Latin America. The song was released a few days ago.

The song is the second preview of Julieta Venegas’ new album, “Northern”. And it moves between the sounds of regional Mexico, mixed with a deeply emotional look. It explores nostalgia and confession, while portraying that intimate moment in which telling the truth is inevitable.

“I have to tell you” merges the artistic identities of both. Julieta’s direct and melancholic lyrics, along with Natalia’s sensitivity and folkloric roots. The result is a work that honors Mexican tradition, while at the same time being projected towards new audiences.

Julieta herself commented: “Two friends get together to talk about life. That it is not always easy, that sometimes it confuses us and leaves us without weapons in the face of changes and all the different things that can happen. But a friend is encouragement, someone who listens to us and who can understand what we have experienced.”

“I have to tell you” is an artistic dialogue that celebrates the authenticity and rich sound of Mexico.
