Evan Dando, hospitalized after sending a video of himself masturbating to a fan

Evan Dando, one of the great rock icons of the 90s, has been hospitalized for mental health problems, according to his representative to Rolling Stone. The news comes after a follower of the artist denounced, along with journalist Tony Ortega in The Underground Bunker, that Evan Dando sent her a video of himself masturbating. A video that she had not asked for.

The fan, who identifies herself by the nickname Dawn, wrote to Evan Dando online to congratulate him on Lemonheads’ new album, ‘Love Chant’, their first album since 2006. Evan Dando’s response was “cool, sorry, I’m an exhibitionist.” Dawn says: “The video is him sitting in a basement or something, masturbating. You can see his penis and his face, it’s him for sure, filming himself from a weird angle. It’s disgusting. I don’t want him to do that to anyone else. “It’s an unpleasant feeling.”

The person representing Evan Dando has told Rolling Stone that the Lemonheads leader has been admitted: “Evan Dando has struggled with his mental health since childhood. “He has now been admitted to a local hospital where he is receiving help from experienced doctors and mental health professionals.”
