If you usually be on the good side of the Instagram reels, you are likely to meet the songs of Laaza. Small musical pills that are a whole breath of fresh air and with which it has reached millions of visits. Not bad for an artist who, in reality, flirts with the jota. ‘Ciudad’ is the song of the day.
Laura Aznar Grau found her artistic name when trying to join her real name and surname, and that is that identity is one of the most important keys to her work. After the launch of his first album in 2024, ‘Songs to forget you’, Laaza launches the course towards his second study work with a song that claims the town, despite being her “city.”
Little has to do this song with the melodies that usually uploads to networks, which focus on more current issues. Those in which he sings “I am not going to take my hair for you / it is rare that they just disgust from me” or “Juan Antonio opens me for DM and tells me that the good girls like me no longer exist / he asks me for a photo of my feet and as I do not answer he asks me if I have slept well” are two mini songs as catchy as fascinating.
‘From city’ maintains, of course, the unique voice of the Catalan artist, in addition to a natural simplicity. Between Holy Week drums, subtle synthesizers and jota turns, Laaza sings about “being here and not there”, about “the most beautiful lands that separate the asphalt from heaven” and not forget about the people. And if they criticize him, Laaza already knows what to say: “I will tell you that I only sing what I feel.”
Produced by Juanma Latorre, from Vetusta Morla, ‘of City’ also arrives with a beautiful video clip recorded in Castel de Cabra, his hometown. The direction of this arrives in the charge of Abel Bueno Dalo, who was behind the image of ‘Spanish Leather’, the last LP of Guitarricadelafuente.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=measimisv0k
