59 dead in a fire in a Macedonia club in the North

59 people have died and another 155 have been injured in a fire in a Macedonia club in the North. Among them are several members of the Macedonia DNK rap band, including one of their two vocalists, and their official photographer. The band acted at the time of the fire.

The fire turned around 2.30 at night at the Club Pulse de Kočani, town located about 100 kilometers from the capital of Macedonia del Norte, Skopje. Some 500 people attended the DNK band concert when the sparks of fireworks used by the group in the show hit the ceiling, made of “highly flammable material.”

Interior Minister Pance Toskovski has revealed that, according to the first investigations, the Club Pulse operated without a license and that the capacity of the concert bent the officer, of about 250 people. There are at least 15 people suspected of bribery and corruption in the case. In Macedonia del Norte, seven days of mourning have been decreed.
