The 29th edition of Sonorama Ribera will be held starting tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5, until this Sunday with JENESAISPOP as the official media. We already talked to you about the headliners that you absolutely have to see in Aranda de Duero and we missed mentions due to the large size of this year’s lineup. With more than 100 confirmed artists, your thing is to make another list with the names that don’t stand out as much.
Angeles Toledo
The artist from Jaén is one of the revelation voices of flamenco in recent years, but she has been celebrated for much longer. At just 20 years old, he toured Europe as part of the company of guitarist Paco Peña. His big debut came in 2024 with ‘Sangre Sucia’ and in it he already showed that he is not afraid of leaving tradition in favor of electronic music. His collaborations with Jorge Drexler and La Plazuela have continued to confirm this.
pablopablo
Speaking of Drexler… The son of the Uruguayan singer-songwriter has not needed his father’s prestige to become one of the most interesting artists on the emerging scene. His compositions are always compared to those of Bon Iver or James Blake, but his work on ‘Spanish Leather’ also endorses him as a more immediate pop conqueror. Live, songs like ‘Vida Nueva’ or ‘Otra Vida’ feel even more alive.
Carlangas
After leaving Novedades Carminha at his peak of popularity, the Galician artist has not stopped giving us great projects and new sounds. His first project, simply titled ‘Carlangas’, highlighted his love for electronic music, while ‘Bailódromo, Vol. 1’ sent us partying to vintage disco. ‘Parallel Universe’, on the other hand, recovers its more garage vein. Carlangas’ charisma is mandatory at any festival.
Repion
We don’t stop talking about the Iñesta sisters as one of the national rock duos to follow, but they are already on their fourth album. All the more reason to get on their train once and for all. This, if his touch of nineties nostalgia in songs like ‘The dream lasts a week’ or ‘Close your eyes’ doesn’t convince you enough. From here, we highly doubt it.
Belen Aguilera
Lovers of big voices and vocal experimentation will shake hands with Aguilera during her appearance in Sonorama. With the release of ‘Anela’, the Catalan artist established herself as one of the most daring popstars in our country thanks to songs like ‘Soledad’. If in the past she had focused on two-mile pop, now Aguilera expands her range: from the most classic melodies to the avant-garde.
