31 FAM has issued a statement after the arrest of its Road Manager Miguel Z., known by Alias de Flautek, in Bilbao for alleged sexual abuse to at least a dozen young people between 16 and 23 years old, although the number of complainants could amount to. Flautek is accused of an alleged crime of sexual aggression and one of discovery and revelation of secrets.
The Ertzaintza made the arrest to Flautek last Tuesday, March 4 after two artists filed a complaint to the Road Manager after discovering a hidden camera in the bathroom of a tourist apartment to allegedly record them naked. Other complainants report cases of recordings without consent and inappropriate “touching.” According to the newspaper, most victims were minors.
In a statement, 31 FAM has solidarity with the victims and clarified that Miguel Z. has collaborated with the Catalan band in the role of Road Mandar on his tours, but that he has never managed his career in the artistic field. “The defendant has worked as ‘Road Manager’ of various tours, including ours, taking care of logistics and scenic aspects,” but “it is not ever has been our manager.”
In the text, 31 FAM points out that the group “has not filed any complaint because, today, we have no indications that he has committed any crime against us.”
In addition to his work as Road Manager, Flautek is known in the music industry, among other things, for teaching musical project management workshops and for collaborating at the Brot Festival, which from the Barcelona City Council supports soloists and emerging groups.
