The Boombastic festival, held in Asturias, has suffered a tragedy after a 25-year-old man from Madrid lost his life in the early hours of this Saturday after receiving a blow to the head while riding the event’s Ferris wheel. Although not many details are known, the event is described as an accident.

This happened at around 4:30 in the morning, when the deceased suffered a blow while the attraction was in motion, as reported by the Civil Guard to Efe. The paramedics assisted the young man, but were unable to save his life. At this time, the authorities are investigating what happened in collaboration with the management of Boombastic.

The organisation has stated that the event “complies with all current regulations regarding safety”, as do “its collaborating companies”. It has also expressed its “condolences to the family and friends” of the deceased. On the other hand, the Government delegate in Asturias, Adriana Lastra, has also conveyed her condolences to the young man’s family.
