A former California police officer has found 12 unreleased Michael Jackson tapes in the most unexpected place possible: an abandoned storage room in Los Angeles that he won at auction. This has been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. The recordings date back to the late 80s and early 90s, before the release of ‘Dangerous’.
The superstar’s representatives have confirmed that the songs are real, that they own the original recordings and that they do not plan to do anything with them. The tapes belonged to producer Bryan Loren: “Nothing can be done, commercial or otherwise, with the copies,” sources from Michael’s estate told the American media.
Yes, the thematic description of some of the songs found has come to light. Among these, one titled ‘Don’t Believe It’ which may refer to the accusations of pedophilia that surrounded the singer’s public image.
Also mentioned are the so-called ‘Truth on Youth’, which turns out to be a duet with LL Cool J, and ‘Seven Digits’, which seems to refer to the identification that the bodies in a morgue have.
