The festival Wind returns with a clear commitment to club culture with artists like Âme (Live), WhoMadeWho, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Jayda G, Danilo Plessow, TSHA and a pioneering proposal that connects music, art, science and sustainability.
The new edition of the Eólica festival will take place between October 16 and 17 at the Institute of Technology and Renewable Energy (ITER)in Granadilla de Abonato bring together some of the most relevant figures in international electronics in Tenerife.
WhoMadeWho, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Jayda G, Âme Live, Danilo Plessow —Motor City Drum Ensemble—, TSHA, Hunee, Horse Meat Disco, Paula Tape, Dee Diggs, Eris Drew, Octo Octa and Victor Ruiz They head a poster that connects the present of club culture with fundamental projects in its history. That is to say, there will be house, techno, disco, electro, melodic sounds, live shows and sessions, all intertwined with other proposals that have nothing to do with electronics.
In that sense, they will also act Xoel Lopez, shego and Tightrope walkerexpanding the stylistic range that will go even further with a wide representation of artists and projects linked to the Canary Islands, who will share programming with some of the most recognized names on the international circuit.
All these artists will go through one of the four stages of the event: Plastic Stage (electronic and avant-garde), Crystal Stage (acoustic and intimate shows), Carton Stage (urban and fusion rhythms) and Organic Stage (world music, percussion, etc.).
There will also be exhibitions of recycled art, various participatory workshops, talks and round tables with both national and international experts and screenings of various documentaries that open the debate on the future of the planet.
Eólica was born in 2003 and, more than a decade after its last celebration, the festival begins a new stage recovering its vision in which sustainability and the transformation of energy models occupy a central place in society and in the music industry.
