American alternative rock band Weezer formed in 1992 in Los Angeles, known for combining pop melodies with powerful guitars announces the launch of the “Weezer Coloring Book Vinyl Box Set” to celebrate its thirty-fourth anniversary.
This special edition includes all six color-named albums from their first full-length, i.e. “Weezer (The Blue Album)” (94), “Weezer (The Green Album)” (01), “Weezer (The Red Album)” (08), “Weezer (The White Album)” (16), “Weezer (The Teal Album)” (19) and“The Black Album” (19).
The set also features seventy-two original illustrations courtesy of Alec Longstreth and six colored markers so we can color whatever we want. A deluxe version of the box is also available, limited to one hundred copies, which contains a backpack of Weezer and a signed lithograph.
The pre-order for the six-vinyl box set and the deluxe edition can be found here. link. The special editions of the web store Weezer They will begin shipping on April 10 for US orders and June 26 for EU and UK orders.
Along with a short animated video, the Los Angeles band wrote on Instagram: “To celebrate this momentous Weezerversary, we’re releasing all of the Colors albums together for the first time.”
This comes after the group revealed earlier this month that an album of Weezer recently discovered, composed of first models and rarities, will be published in the Record Store Day 2026.
The album, titled “1192”comes from the band’s first sessions in November 1992, after its formation. The founding bassist Matt Sharp discovered the album while reviewing a series of “lost albums” master tapes.
The album is planned to include first demos of classics from Weezer such as “Say It Ain’t So” and “Undone (The Sweater Song)”, let’s give that they would get them a record deal with Geffen Records in 1993. With the help of Matt Sharp as producer and Joe Chiccarelli on mixing, the album has been remixed from tape to vinyl using a completely analog process. Three thousand copies will go on sale on April 18.
