Victoria Beckham’s scandal revitalizes her music

Victoria Beckham returns to the charts, although not for the most honorable reason. The “Posh Spice” currently occupies number 1 of the most viral songs in the United Kingdom on Spotify with ‘Not Such an Innocent Girl’, its forgotten single from 2001, which has also reached the first position on British iTunes, ahead of Harry Styles’ new single.

The public is consuming the song freely, 25 years after its release, and flooding the internet with memes following the recent statements by Brooklyn, son of Victoria and David Beckham, against his parents, which have splashed the tabloid press.

The eldest Beckham son has accused his parents of trying to ruin his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz, for years, and putting him through “anxiety and embarrassment” during their 2022 wedding.

According to Brooklyn, Victoria and David have contributed to damaging Nicola’s public image in the media, spreading information that portrayed her as a controlling person who seeks to take advantage of Brooklyn and her family. While committing all kinds of injustices against Brooklyn – always according to their son – the Beckhams “controlled the public narrative through social networks and family events”, putting the “Beckham brand” above the family.

The history of Brooklyn is beyond belief. He says that Victoria canceled the making of his wife’s dress at the last minute, forcing her to find a new one, and that his parents tried to pressure him to give up the rights to her name before the nuptials. In a strange episode, he says that he was called to the wedding scene by Marc Anthony to dance with his wife, but the one who appeared to dance with him was Victoria, creating a “very uncomfortable” moment. Brooklyn says he has no intention of repairing his relationship with his parents and is “standing up for himself” for the first time in his life.

Victoria, who was recently seen alongside Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell during Bunton’s birthday, has claimed to feel “betrayed” by Brooklyn, as for years she has prevented “dark stories” about her son from coming to light.
