Tommy DeCarlovocalist of Boston Since 2008, he has died at the age of sixty after a tough fight against cancer. The artist also published material alone and with his band DeCarlo.
The news of the death of Tommy DeCarlo, who was a vocalist in Boston after the suicide of Brad Delp, has been communicated by his family through social networks. With the news it was revealed that he had been suffering from serious brain cancer since last September.
“It is with a heavy heart that we share the death of our father, Tommy DeCarlo, on Monday, March 9, 2026,” read the shared statement, Annie, DeCarlo’s wife, and their two children, Talia and Tommy Jr.
“After being diagnosed with brain cancer last September, he fought with incredible strength and courage until the end. We kindly ask that, during these difficult times, friends and fans respect our family’s privacy as we grieve and support each other.”
DeCarlo joined the legendary band Boston, known for hits like “More Than A Feeling” and “Amanda,” after the group’s lead singer, Brad Delp, ended his own life in 2007. In fact, it already appears on the band’s sixth album, “Love, Life and Hope”released in 2013. DeCarlo has been touring with Boston for almost twenty years. Initially, DeCarlo was a big fan of the group who recorded versions of their songs and, after participating in an event in tribute to Delp, he received the invitation from Tom Scholz to join the band as a singer.
He published solo “Dancing In The Moonlight” in 2022 and together with his band DeCarlo – in which his son was a member – he released “Lightning Strikes Twice” in 2020.
