The rumors we were talking about yesterday have already been confirmed by Tobias Forge. He commented on it in an interview for the Full Metal Jackie podcast. After the concerts scheduled to date, Ghost They will take an indefinite break.
We all know how demanding life on the road is, even more so when you lead a group that has enjoyed success that has grown year by year, album by album, for the last fifteen years. That is why it is not surprising that, at this moment in his career, Tobias Forge, mastermind and leader of the Swedish hard rock and heavy metal band Ghost, has decided that he must step aside and take a break that we do not know how long it could last.
As commented on the Full Metal Jackie program, after the American dates of the “Skeleton”Ghost will take a break so Forge can spend some time with his family. He said it in the following terms: “I’ve had two children waiting for me at home with my wife for fifteen years. And maybe that says something about me: that it wasn’t enough of a motivating factor during those years. But you have to believe me, I’ve felt bad during this time, but I’ve definitely reached a point where I feel like I need, physically and mentally, to be home. My kids are seventeen years old and they’re not going to be home for a long time.”
As for Ghost, he also comments: “The only way for new ideas and new inspiration to appear is to simply walk away. It’s that simple. That doesn’t mean I’m not working. In fact, I’m working on two film projects.” Here we will be waiting to see where his next steps go.
