The melody after the topic of Tame Impala is precious

In a set in spring Sound or with that cover “White Label”, it was guessed that the return of Tame Impala was going to be different. Even so, ‘End of Summer’, which paradoxically comes out in the middle of summer, is one of the great surprises of the year, and of course our song of the day for this Friday.

On a Black Bombo, Kevin Parker begins to talk about someone who does not make so much sense to hug; about “wait until the end of summer” until it is too late.

In his voice and in the melody there is some of the psychedelia that we always identify in Tame Impala, but the environment is different, and evolves to something even more different as the 7 minutes of the subject advance. And the 9 minutes of video, which have a break to kiss.

In a production that we would have associated more to Caribou or the most melodic chemical brothers -those that resorted to the services of Noel Gallagher again and again, it is curious that the reference ends up being the same. A precious melody that Paul McCartney could have written in the ‘Revolver’ era.

In the absence of knowing if Tame Impala’s new album will follow the same course, at the moment Kevin has left a mysterious message in networks. It does not use the word “single” and describes ‘End of Summer’ as “the first thing we wanted to listen to this new era.” However, hopefully the whole project looks like this.
