Sam Moore was one of the greats of soul, although his career was not as constant as that of other legends of the genre. In any case, he gave us with Sam & Dave some timeless classics like “Soul Man” or “Hold On, I’m Comin'”, which he released in the sixties with Dave Prater. Moore’s was the highest voice of the duo. Moore has died at age eighty-nine as a result of complications recovering from surgery.
