The II Congress of PAM Musical Journalism arrives

The Association of Associated Music Journalists presents the II Congress of Musical Journalism PAMto be celebrated this coming month of March in Madrid.

After the successful call of its first edition in 2025, the Association of Associated Music Journalists confirms the second appointment for a day of analysis and assessment of the current moment in national music journalism. The day will take place on Thursday, March 12 at the AIE headquarters in Madrid

The II Congress of Musical Journalism PAM, which will take place next Thursday, March 12, starting at 10 in the morning at the AIE headquarters (C/ de Torrelara 8, Madrid). A March 12 that PAM wants to transform into the Music Journalism Day making the congress and the Noise Awardwhich will be delivered this same day in the Berlanga room.

After the first approach in 2025 to the problems of the sector in the first call of the Congress, PAM expands its scope by trying to x-ray the profession of music journalism in 2026. The first conclusions of a study on the situation of the music press will be presented in collaboration with researchers from the Complutense University of Madrid, Carlos III and UNED. Guest institutions such as INAEM, the Cervantes Institute and the Ministry of Culture will also attend to present their perspective on financing models for media and professionals. It will also discuss how AI is affecting media indexing on Google, new survival models such as Substack, to conclude by presenting the decalogue of good practices.
