The Bad Bunny residence in Puerto Rico: 377 million dollars and thousands of jobs

The impact of a macroconciente on the economy of a city, or even a country, is no joke. If the artist is Bad Bunny and the number of concerts is 30, the data is impressive. This has been advanced today by the mayor of San Juan, Miguel Romero, according to Efe. It is estimated that the economic impact of the Bad Bunny residence in the country will be 377 million dollars and around 3,600 new jobs.

The residence ‘I do not want to leave here’ in El Choli, which begins this July 11 and will last until September 14, is the preamble of the World Tour of the Puerto Rican. Although 21 concerts were initially announced, the lawsuit caused them to extend until 30 dates, selling 400,000 tickets in four hours.

It turns out that this series of concerts coincides with the low tourism season of Puerto Rico, being precisely between July and September, so the mayor of San Juan Vaticina a great result: “The residence will bring a flow of people to Puerto Rico that will have an impact on the economy of the entire island, especially the capital city,” he said at a press conference.

Romero has detailed that more than 80% of the economic activity derived from the concerts will take place in San Juan, so the impact of the residence in the capital will be around 302 million dollars. It also clarifies that safety, transit and cleaning measures have increased in the most tourist places, since the event will be held for 11 weekends in a row.
