Spelling shares “Portrait of My Heart” with Brendan Yates (Turnstile)

Spelling releases a new version of “Portrait of My Heart”, a song that is part of his latest album, together with none other than Brendan Yates of Turnstile.

The Californian singer has released a new version of “Portrait of My Heart”, the title song of her latest album, along with Brendan Yates of Turnstile. The artist released the album last year through Sacred Bones, which also featured the participation of another Turnstile member, Pat McCroryso this union is not so surprising. The new single comes after a version, also reissued, of “Destiny Arrives” with Weyes Blood.

On working with Yates, Spelling comments: “Turnstile invited me to play with them in 2022 and, during a sound check, I heard Brendan joyfully singing ‘I hate the boys at school’. That convinced me that a collaboration would work wonderfully. Having him sing on this remix of ‘Portrait of my Heart’ was a great way to capture our musical expressions, which are radically different, but which we both appreciate.”
