Just a few hours after performing at the Barcelona Rock Festivala group of hooded men with iron bars attacked the heavy metal band’s material truck Acceptfrom whom valuable material was stolen.
There are many national and international groups from which material is stolen, but the case of the Germans Accept from just a few days ago has been especially bloody, since it is a robbery with violence against one of the most emblematic formations that German metal has ever produced.
The news has been spread by the festival itself, and it is surprising because the assault was violent, something that is not usual in group robberies.
The assault on the truck carrying the Accept tour team was stopped in one of the rest areas of the AP-7 highway just about thirty kilometers from the city of Barcelona, when four hooded men armed with iron bars attacked the truck.
While one of the hooded men tried to force their way into the cabin where the driver was still in, the rest broke the lock on the back of the truck and managed to open the doors of the trailer. According to reports, the assailants took part of the lighting equipment, several briefcases with computers and electronic devices for the group’s live performance, the band’s belongings and, what hurt the group the most, one of the founding member’s most emblematic guitars. Wolf Hoffmann.
It is a guitar Framus Custom Shop Masterbuilt WH-1 “The Rise Of Chaos”a guitar of great sentimental value for Wolf Hoffmann. The band has offered a reward of 2,000 euros to anyone who provides information that allows them to recover the instrument, which Hoffmann usually uses in his live shows.
But, if there was not enough, it has also been announced that another of the German groups that performed at the festival, none other than Helloweenhave also suffered a robbery. The difference is that, in this case, it was not a robbery with violence. The thief or thieves have taken the group’s tour photographer’s work equipment, including a locked MacBook Pro and a Nikon Z6III camera.
The band has asked for help in case anyone tries to sell that equipment in the coming days. If you have information you can directly write a direct message to the group on social networks or contact the photographer’s networks, Jovan Ristich.
