Finally, the majestic “The Orchestral Tour” of the icelanders Sigur Ros. This is a tour in which the group performs backed by a local orchestra of more than forty musicians.
There was a great desire for this tour with an orchestra to reach the halls of our country. And that will be a reality next September, when Jónsi and his band arrive in Barcelona and Bilbao to offer performances alongside local orchestras of more than forty musicians.
It will be something very special that you can experience in the Auditori Fòrum CCCIB (September 11, Barcelona) and at the Euskalduna Palace (September 15, Bilbao). The final leg of the tour will begin in Edinburgh on August 31, 2026 and will tour Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal, before concluding with two concerts in Berlin. In Barcelona they will be accompanied by the Vallès Symphony Orchestra and, in Bilbao, for the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa.
Band member Kjartan Sveinsson says: “We are excited to return to orchestra concerts in September. It is always very special to feel in the middle of an orchestra, surrounded by all those fantastic musicians we have played with over the last four years. Within this tour they will also perform on September 13 at the Coliseu Porto Ageas (Porto) and on September 17 at the Sagres Campo Pequeno (Lisbon), in Portugal, together with the Lisbon Symphony Orchestra
