American vocalist Sebastian Bach will be the substitute Dee Snider on the hard rock band’s comeback tour Twisted Sister. Let’s remember that the band will visit us this summer.
The glam metal band Twisted Sister will take to the stage again next fall to celebrate its 50th anniversary, but this time with a different lineup. Sebastian Bachthe famous vocalist of Skid Rowwill be in charge of assuming the role of guest singer in this series of concerts, occupying the historic position of the group’s original singer, Dee Snider. After decades leading the band, Snider recently announced that he would stop leading the group due to various physical problems that prevented him from continuing with the intensity that the project requires.
The announcement was made through the band’s official social networks. In the statement, guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda expressed their enthusiasm for having the singer, also clarifying that these performances will not interfere with the artist’s solo concert schedule. Bach himself spoke about this collaboration during an interview on the program Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk of SiriusXM, explaining that his conversation with Dee Snider was decisive in accepting the proposal: “I just talked to Dee for about 45 minutes and we were both a little emotional,” he commented. Bach also recalled that his connection with Twisted Sister goes back a long way: “When I went to school I painted the Twisted Sister logo on the back of my jacket with concealer because I thought it was the coolest thing. I’m a real fan, and that’s the number one reason why I do this: to honor the legacy of these songs.”
The drummer will also join this special formation Joey Cassataknown for having recently participated in the last solo work of Ace Frehley, “10,000 Volts”.
