This coming Saturday, June 13, Andoain will be filled with music again with free performances by nine bands and the broadcast of a podcast.
We already know the schedules of the performances of the Andoaingo Rock Jaialdiaa free event that will once again fill the streets of Andoain with music on June 13. In total there will be nine bands – one international, one European, two from Spain and five from the Basque Country – that will participate in a program that is committed to stylistic diversity and the discovery of new proposals.
The day will start with the Aperitif concert series, spread across different parts of the municipality. iiiingles will perform at 12:00 p.m. at Zumea Plaza, Katiuskak at 1:00 p.m. in Plaza Morea and Barrrk at 2:00 p.m. in Goikoplaza.
After these concerts, one of the novelties of this edition will take place. At 4:00 p.m., Goikoplaza will host the live recording of “Norbait Hil Da Hemen”the musical podcast hosted by Nahia Novo. More than fifty artists and bands have already participated in the program, including Pinpilinpussies, Urtzi Iza, Elene, Mikosis, Niña Coyote and Chico Tornado, Txopet, Indabe and Barrrk and Silitia themselves. On this occasion, Novo will interview live some of the groups participating in the festival.
The activity will then move to Nafarroa Plaza, where they will perform Ex-boyfriends (18:00), Paco I love you (19:05), Lezard (20:10), The Petunias (21:45), Silithia (23:00) and Maruja (00:15).
This year’s poster is headed by the British quartet Marujaone of the bands that is causing the most talk on the European circuit thanks to its intense mix of jazz, punk, noise-rock and spoken word. The Belgians will also be there Lezardwhose sound combines the urgency of post-punk with danceable rhythms and echoes of groups like Talking Heads or The B-52’s. The main stage is completed The Petuniaswho continue to claim their casual and unapologetic punk; Paco I love youone of the most interesting emerging proposals of the new state independent scene; Ex-boyfriendsan underground reference thanks to its personal combination of pop, garage and psychedelia; and Silithiaalways unpredictable, with a proposal that moves between alternative rock, electronica and its already characteristic label of “brioche-pop”.
