Savages expand “Adore Life” by covering Black Sabbath

Savages have released two unreleased songs in celebration of the tenth anniversary of their second album “Adore Life”. And one of them is neither more nor less than a version of “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath.

He January 25, 2016the band published their second full-length “Love Life“, their latest release to date. Now, the London quartet is celebrating the album’s first decade by premiering two previously unreleased songs: a piano version of “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath and “Prayer.”

In the words of the quartet: “Celebrating ten years of ‘Love Life‘, we share with you two unreleased songs that never made it to the albums. We left them exactly as they were: no repetitions, no remixes. What you will hear is exactly how they were first recorded. To us, they seem like snapshots of a moment in time, and while we’ve never been one to think too much about nostalgia, we felt these songs offered a fresh perspective on the band, or at least a gentle reminder of their magic.”

Savages are Ayşe Hassan (bass), Fay Milton (drums), Gemma Thompson (guitar) and Jehnny Beth (vocals). His career took off in 2011, with the release of his debut album “Silence Yourself” in 2013. Three years later it saw the light “Love Life“, and since 2017 the group has maintained its silence until today. On the other hand, Jehnny Beth He embarked on his career as a soloist, his last publication being “You, Heartbreaker You”, an album that came out last year.
