Rialto return after 24 years with a dark disco anthem

Rialto released one of the best singles of the 90s, the epic ‘Monday Morning 5.19’. The next single from their debut ‘Rialto’ (1998), wasn’t bad at all: it was called ‘Untouchable’. But after a second album that went more unnoticed, Rialto disappeared at the turn of the century. Today, they were quite forgotten: they have less than 19,000 listeners on Spotify, far from those days when they bordered the top 20 in the United Kingdom, both in albums and singles.

24 years after their last album, Rialto return with a new album that they have already finished and which will be called ‘Neon & Ghost Signs’. It will be released on April 25. The first single ‘No One Leaves This Discotheque Alive’ is our Song of the Day.

There was a sad dance music cadence in ‘Monday Morning 5:19’ and that is what we find in ‘No One Leaves This Discotheque Alive’, an easy and decadent song, in which Louis Eliot walks around bars, drinks and goes to the bar. ATM, without any good prognosis. In tune with the retro melody songs of people like Mando Diao or Electric Six, Rialto return as if to remind us that there were other deliciously decadent Alex Turners, before Alex Turner himself.

1. ‘No One Leaves This Discotheque Alive’
2. ‘I Want You’
3. ‘Neon And Ghost Signs’
4. ‘Taking The Edge Off Me’
5. ‘Remembering to Forget’
6. ‘Car That Never Comes’
7. ‘Sandpaper Kisses’
8. ‘Cherry’
9. ‘Put You On Hold’
10. ‘Gone’
