Radiohead will go on tour again, but already in 2027. At least, this is what their guitarist, Ed O’Brien, has declared in an interview with Rolling Stone.
O’Brien is promoting the release of his new album, ‘Blue Morpho’, out May 22. The first preview is the title cut. With an orchestral and cinematic style, ‘Blue Morpho’ previews an album full of luxurious strings.
During his talk with Rolling Stone, O’Brien was asked, naturally, about Radiohead, and the musician confirmed that the British group does not plan to give concerts in 2026, but in 2027. Radiohead’s last tour is recent: it took place between November and December 2025, it was the first in seven years and it started in Spain, with a spectacular concert in Madrid.
O’Brien assures that Radiohead will return to the road in 2027 and that the tour concept they are working on will be similar to that of this last round of shows: the group would give “20 concerts per continent, no more, no less,” as the musician has stated. Radiohead’s 2025 tour was made up of exactly 20 concerts concentrated in Europe, from Madrid to Copenhagen.
As for new music from Radiohead, there seems to be no news. Their latest album, ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’, will be ten years old in May.
Meanwhile, the members of Radiohead continue their solo paths. In addition to O’Brien, Jonny Greenwood – who has just signed the soundtrack for ‘One Battle After Another’, winner of the Oscar for Best Film – is also preparing the launch of the album ‘Ranjha’ with Shye Ben Tzur and the Rajasthan Express.
