The long-awaited documentary about NOFX It will officially premiere in Austin (Texas, United States) in March. To make a splash, they share a trailer not recommended for minors.
“40 Years Of Fuckin’ Up” It will be the documentary that will review the four decades of history of one of the indispensable groups of American punk rock and, by the way, one of the craziest and most outdated. And of course, that had to be reflected both in the film and in the trailer with which they announced the first screenings with the public.
The launch practically coincides in time with the news that Eric Melvin has accused Fat Mike of embezzling the band’s income throughout their career, something the remaining band members deny.
The documentary, in the post-production phase, can be seen in public sessions and will be released, although it is expected to be seen in selected cinemas around the world in the spring of this year. The first showings will be in Austin on March 15 and 16.
As for the “trailer for adults”, you only have to take a look at it to see Fat Mike taking drugs or in his masochistic clothes to understand it, something that he himself defined a few days ago as “Most people would not think it would be good to release a film that shows images of how they were whipped in their dungeon, how they consume drugs for the last twenty years or how they dress like cheap whores, even how they travel naked in an ambulance while vomiting and shitting blood.” So that’s all said.
The documentary has been directed by James Buddy Day and, apart from all this madness, it also includes interviews with all the members of the American band and people close to them.
