Nathy Peluso, Amaia and Rozalén were the protagonists of the second edition of the Awards of the Academy of Music of Spain. Argentina became the most awarded artist thanks to four awards, while Amaia and Rozalén took some of the most important awards: song of the year and artist of the year, respectively. Compeating with Carolina during, ‘La Jauría’ by Dani Fernández ended up winning the album title of the year.
The IFEMA Municipal Palace was the place chosen to celebrate this second awards gala, with the novelty of being broadcast on television (the 2) for the first time. Anni B Sweet and Derby Motoreta Burrito Kachimba shared the stage with Alcalá Norte, who began the ceremony without preamble, and accompanied by Noni by Lori Meyers, interpreting ‘Life Canyon’. This was nominated for song of the year, but ‘I have a thought’ by Amaia (who confused on the screen with ‘I have a feeling’) ended up taking the recognition.
María Peláez and Rodrigo Cuevas were two hosts at the height, with a naturalness and a humor that were appreciated: “We have stayed with the repeated sobaco after these performances,” Cuevas said. Circumstances also contributed to their fun side, being forced to improvise on numerous occasions while the stage had just been clear.

They interacted with the celebrities that had their surroundings, such as Chanel, Nathy Peluso or Estopa. The Muñoz brothers started the gala taking the prize for the best tour and finished it with the award for best pop album, competing with Edurne, Ruslana, Marlena and Abraham Mateo. Leire Martínez was in charge of presenting the prize with Nil Moliner and was very happy with the victory of the Catalan duo. They, happy to receive something even if they were not very clear which category were winning. David, with the usual art: «I have always wanted to say this. Thanks to the academy ».
Sole Giménez, president of the Academy of Music of Spain, commented in her speech that “from the entire group of industry professionals, only 30% are women.” This caused the next performance to have even more impact: Zahara, Natalia Lacunza and Delaporto singing ‘I just wanted to write a love song’ with Martí Perarnau, Ale Acosta and Baiuca, which focused on the rhythms.
Just when Amaia goes viral singing a flamenco version of ‘Those of Intuition’, stars in the last performance of the gala interpreting ‘Zorongo Gitano’ next to Silvia Pérez Cruz. Without a doubt, the best number of the night. Near the brilliant duet between Vozarrones de Rozalén and Valeria Castro. The Canarian artist started as the most nominated, with seven mentions, of which he ended up winning three.

In the last part of the gala, Miguel Ríos went out to present the most important award, to artist of the year. But without first denouncing the massacre that the Palestinian people are living, although without naming details: “There are many people suffering a genocide.” Rozalén, in tears, receives the prize with a lot of respect for his teammates: “I’ve been in which incredible things have happened to me and now I think this is other people, but I am here,” he said.
Rosario, Sandra Carrasco and David de Arahal fired with a flamenco celebration a gala that had been pleasant, fun and that represented a step forward for the aim of getting a Spanish brand Grammy. All the actions of the gala, at the end of the article.
