Michael Stipeleader of R.EM, surprised the audience by going on stage with the band they lead Michael Shannon and the musician Jason Narducy during a concert.
The singer performed the songs “These Days” and “The Great Beyond” with them. During the tour with which the actor Michael Shannon and musician Jason Narducy – currently a member of Sunny Day Real Estateamong others– and his band celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the album ““Lifes Rich Pageant”.
The tour continues a series of tributes to the band’s catalog, after revisiting albums such as ““Fables of the Reconstruction” and “Murmur”. It’s not the first time Stipe has joined them. A year ago they also performed “Pretty Persuasion” together at the same venue, the Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, New York.
Although the group broke up in 2011, its members: Stipe, Peter Buck, Mike Mills and Bill Berry, have made occasional appearances. But they maintain that there will not be a full band reunion.
