The Algeciras band Medicine returns to the scene with Robotsfirst preview of The waveformshis next studio album, which will be released on March 18 via Spinda Records. The single inaugurates a new stage for the group and serves as a cover letter for an album that aims to be darker, ambitious and conceptual.
Robots It works as a sonic dystopia that reflects on the uncontrolled growth of artificial intelligence and its possible drift towards human self-destruction. In the song, the robot absorbs the fears, anger and ego of the human being until it ends up suffering like him, in a narrative reminiscent of a twilight science fiction film. On a musical level, the song moves between noise, grunge and post punk, within that expansive rock that the band itself claims: dense guitars, constant tension and an oppressive atmosphere that gives no respite. The launch comes accompanied by a video clip edited by Juanjo Crespobuilt from archive images that reinforce the dystopian imagery of the song.
