«Mazón, Quiles, Xokas»: Parquesvr makes an inventory of «fools»

Next April the new album by Parquesvr will be published, one of the groups that is standing out the most for its combination of social criticism and humor. The provocative rhymes of songs like ‘Que te pares’, ‘Juancarlista’ or ‘Your name is a door to close’ have been able to provoke laughter or be outright incredible in their mentions of Froilán or Santiago Abascal; Virtually no figure from the political or social class has escaped the black hole of Parquesvr, which swallows everything.

Several characters of this type appear in a new Parquesvr song, not coincidentally called ‘Tonto’, the third preview of their fourth album, ‘Myths and Legends’. Neither Carlos Mazón, nor Eduardo Inda, nor Vito Quiles, nor El Xokas, nor Pablo Motos are the protagonists of ‘Tonto’, although they will surely be delighted to hear their names pronounced in a song.

The “fools” would be all of them and those who look like them for “voting like shit”, swimming directly in lies or ignorance, spreading hoaxes or misinformation to instill fear, or simply for being stupid and not knowing that they are. Those would be the most dangerous, since the bad guy “stops when things go wrong, but the fool doesn’t stop until the end,” rhymes the Madrid quartet.

Once again, Parquesvr delivers a series of incredible couplets and convinces with its final slogan: there are “Fools from the left and right, fools, fools, fools everywhere: the most transversal thing is stupidity.” No one will be surprised that Obama and Trump are named, looking almost the same.

‘Tonto’ is another fun Parquesvr production inspired by two-mile indie like Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand or The Hives, but enhancing the garage guitar. The video clip is directly an exhibition of portraits of all those people that Parquesvr consider enemies of common sense: there we have Marta Sánchez, Íñigo Errejón, Jordi Wild or Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
