Måns Zelmerlöw, Eurovision 2015 winner, accused of abuse

Måns Zelmerlöw has been accused of physical and emotional abuse for his ex -wife, actress Ciara Janson, who has declared to have tried to request the divorce of Zelmerlöw in the United Kingdom to “keep her family in private” but has not been impossible to retain the information to the media. According to Dailymail, it has been Zelmerlöw who has requested divorce.

“I have kept silent and protected my ex -husband for too long,” said Ciara Janson in a statement published on his Instagram account. “To end speculation, I requested divorce in the United Kingdom to keep this private, but as it seems that it is no longer possible, I think it is important to tell my truth.”

Janson accuses Zelmerlöw of subjecting his family to a “hostile environment” and exposing it “to drug abuse, emotional and physical abuse, and endless infidelities.” Jansen points out that “my children have been and will always be my top priority, and I will do everything possible to protect them and be the mother they deserve,” in the words collected from Formulatv.

Janson adds that “I wish Måns all the best in his future projects and I hope he looks for the help he needs so much.”

Zelmerlöw’s lawyer, Hanna Lindblom, has responded to Jansen’s accusations in the Swedish newspaper Expressen, pointing out that “it is not unusual for one of the two parties in a divorce to make accusations”, but noting that Jansen’s accusations are “extremely serious.”

Zelmerlöw is known for winning Eurovision in 2015 with ‘Heroes’ thanks to the quality of the song and its spectacular visual assembly. ‘Heroes’ became an international success that reached position 3 of the Spanish singles list. Zelmerlöw has competed in the melodifestive this year with ‘Revolution’, but has lost against the Kaj sauna.
