Rosalía completes 9 weeks at number 1 on the Spanish album chart thanks to ‘LUX’. From now on, the greatest success of his career. It is their first album to achieve quadruple platinum certification, exceeding 160,000 units sold in Spain alone.
Rosalía’s fourth album began selling around 52,000 copies in its week of release in Spain, as JENESAISPOP learned, and has continued shipping an average of 17,000 copies per week. ‘LUX’ achieved three Platinum Records in record time, just in the fifth week of being on the list, and has once again broken another record by being the first work in Rosalía’s discography to reach four Platinum Records.
‘Motomami’ did not receive triple platinum certification until a year (65 weeks) after its release, while ‘El Mal Querer’ took a little longer, specifically 87 weeks. Thus, Rosalía has been surpassing herself with each release in terms of copies sold. ‘LUX’ is not doing badly outside of our country either.
This is still at number 1 on the Swiss chart, and remains strong on various European charts. Among them, Belgium, occupying third place; that of the Netherlands, in which the album occupies number 11 in the classification; and Germany, with ‘LUX’ in 14th place. In others, such as France, Rosalía has a good position (18th), but greater growth is not expected.
Elsewhere on the list, we find only three new entries: ‘It doesn’t happen again (pre-album warm-up)’ by Clarent at number 37, ‘Where’s the after?’ by Rawayana at number 43 and, finally, ‘The Crux’ by Djo sneaking into position 100. The biggest rise in the list has been for the contestants of Operación Triunfo 2025 and its compilation, which has gone from occupying position 44 to being in the top 15 on the list.
