The week immediately before Christmas, which runs from December 19 to 25, still places Rosalía in the first place of the most successful albums in Spain, where ‘LUX’ adds its 7th consecutive week. In fact, ‘LUX’ has been the album that has increased its absolute unit sales the most during the last seven days, as indicated by Promusicae, although they have not been enough to add ‘LUX’ to a fourth platinum album (for now).
Alejandro Sanz is lurking with his latest EP, ‘And Now What?’, which returns to number 2 on the Spanish album chart, the same position in which it debuted.
Only two new entries leave the list this strange Christmas week. On the one hand, the Puerto Rican reggaeton and trap singer Luar La L places ‘SOBR3NATURAL’ at 15. On the other hand, the ‘Christmas Songs’ by Fabi y Sus Amigos are placed at 48. It is an album aimed at children.
As usually happens during the festive season, many albums “coincidentally” rise on the list, many of them one after the other: this is the case of ‘Tropicoqueta’ by Karol G (16), ‘Made in Times of Peace’ by Viva Sweden’ (17), ‘Man’s Best Friend’ by Sabrina Carpenter (18) or ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ by Carolina Durante (19). Later, the table records increases in ‘Spanish Leather’ by Guitarricadelafuente (52), ‘The Last Day of Our Lives’ by Dani Martín (53) or “The Best of Operación Triunfo 2025” (54), among many others.
If we look at the list of vinyls we can figure out which have been the best sellers for Christmas 2025 in Spain (in the run-up to Epiphany, of course). Of course, ‘LUX’ retains number 1, but we could say that the biggest beneficiaries have been Carolina Durante, whose album rises from number 12 to number 4 on the vinyl chart, and Amaia, who rises with hers from 17 to number 6. The top 10 still leaves positions for Fito and Fitipaldis at number 2, Taylor Swift at number 3 and Aitana at number 5.
Returning to the main list, the number of albums that do not go up, but rather re-enter the table, is striking. The biggest comeback is starring ‘Merry Christmas!’ by Niña Pastori, which reappears at number 59. Another re-entry is ‘Brat’ by Charli seasons.
