Love of Lesbian have announced their retirement from the stage after two and a half decades of experience. But first there is a tour that will take them to Mexico, various Spanish cities and some European cities.
Over the years, Barcelona’s Love of Lesbian have become one of the essential names in Spanish-language pop, regular in venues, festivals and sales charts thanks to a discography in which there has been no shortage of hits, nor examples of how to experiment with your sound without losing your identity.
Now they have officially announced that they will begin a period of silence after ending their concert calendar in 2026. In their statement we can read this:
“After 25 years of vans that became spaceships and stages that have been our most faithful home, we have decided that it is time to look at the stars from the side of the road. It is not goodbye, but a long-term ‘see you soon’. We want the silence that will come to be as honest as the noise we have shared.”
Before, they will tour fulfilling the pending dates and will also tour throughout Mexico, on a tour that will be held this March:
March 14: Vive Latino Festival, Mexico City.
March 18: Metropolitan Theater, Querétaro.
March 21: La Paz Theater, San Luis Potosí.
March 25: Lake Forum, León.
March 26: Telmex Auditorium, Guadalajara.
March 28: Tecate Pa’l Norte Festival, Monterrey.
March 29: Tecate Pa’l Norte Festival, Monterrey.
To these dates must be added concerts at events such as Noches del Botánico –with three dates, two of them already sold out–, Sonorama Ribera or SanSan.
Behind him remains a discography that began in English and later switched to Spanish, with albums such as “Escapism maneuvers” (05), “1999 (Or how to start snow fires with a magnifying glass focused on the moon)” (09), “The Poet Halley” (16), “VEHN (Epic Journey into Nothingness)” (21) or “Salvation Army” (24). With them they have won gold records, Latin Grammy nominations and filled venues throughout Spain and Mexico on various occasions.
