The drip of news related to Lana Del Rey’s new album resumes. ‘Stove’ would already be almost finished and its author has not only revealed that its shipment to the printer is imminent, but has shown its supposed floral cover, with Lana posing in the middle.
The image is uploaded within a roll of nine photos and appears in ninth place. In the tenth there is the image of an unknown vinyl. In her text, Lana reveals that, apart from ‘Stove’, over the years a “secondary album” has emerged, which would be the one that appears in that last image. A work that he defines as “a kind of commentary on everything that has been happening, the patience that has been required and the trust that I have had to have to understand that not everything that did not work was my fault.”
Regarding ‘Stove’, Del Rey assures that the album “is beautiful and remains exactly as it was conceived.” He defines it as “a classic album”, of which the public already knows a good part thanks to his concerts, “although not all the songs.” The singer takes the opportunity to thank the involvement of all the collaborators who have participated in the project.
But the most striking part of the text comes when it explains that, during the long creation process, another different album was taking shape. According to him, this “secondary album” was born almost inevitably and brings together songs that arose from doubts, hope and the need to start from scratch. If ‘Stove’ was rooted in growth and joy, this second work would have ended up “sprinkled” with compositions born of uncertainty and the understanding that new beginnings involve starting completely from scratch.
Lana adds that she needs about another month to finish assembling this second project and send both albums to be made on vinyl. “It took as long as it had to take,” he writes, before thanking his followers again for their patience. The artist concludes by describing both albums as “two of the pieces that I feel most proud of.”
