Katseye “love the drama” in the rhythmic ‘Gameboy’

Katseye, the global girl Group composed of components of the Philippines, South Korea, Switzerland and the United States that triumphs with the blatant ‘Gnarly’, today publishes its debut EP, ‘Beautiful Chaos’, which is composed of five cuts. ‘Gnarly’ and ‘Gabriela’ -this second theme co -written by Charli XCX -occupy positions 1 and 2. And third today appears the Focus Track today, ‘Gameboy’, the song of the day for today Friday.

‘Gameboy’ – you have guessed – use video game sounds – we would say that of Super Mario – and merges them with a rhythm of Caribbean style that remembers the mumbatón. The grace of ‘Gameboy’ is that, despite the percussion density contained in its production, it is first and foremost a song “Chill” and summer: here Katseye do not choose the violence of ‘Gnarly’, but the peace of a day of summer.

In contrast, the motto of ‘Gameboy’ is that Katseye “love the drama.” So much that Manon, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yonchae do not mind “playing” with that boy who returns again and again, but for Katseye it is just a hobby. Here the players are them, especially if it’s a revenge: “Do like you don’t find out, but you know what karma is, you can’t blame me, I’m not the problem.”

Katseye also play in the ‘Gameboy’ video clip, in which they exhibit their dance steps on an interactive LED pavement. Two curiosities about the video clip: 1) Lara appears in the video but does not participate in the choreography because a leg was injured during filming, and 2) only Manon appears on the cover of the video because today is his birthday.
