He has been the actor’s wife, Kelly McMahon, who has revealed the news. «With an open heart, I want to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died in peace this week after a brave effort to overcome cancer. Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his job and loved his fans. His greatest desire was to brighten the life of as many people as possible. We ask for support at the moment so that our family can cry their loss in private ».
Julian McMahon was the son of former Australian prime minister William McMahon and, in his last role, he played Stephen Roos, a fictional Australian prime minister, in ‘La Residence’, an original Netflix series. Another of his most recent roles was in ‘FBI: Most Wanced’, where he acted from 2020 to 2022.
He began his acting career in the late 80s, after a brief stage as a model. One of his first relevant roles was in the series ‘Another World’ of NBC, in 1993. However, his jump to international fame arrived in the year 2000 with his remembered character of Cole Turner, a half human being and half demon, who debuted in the third season of ‘Embrulados’.
With that series still in broadcast, McMahon assumed another iconic role: that of the charismatic and controversial Doctor Christian Troy in ‘Nip/Tuck’, which was broadcast between 2003 and 2010. There he shared prominence with Dylan Walsh, who played Dr. Sean McNamara.
