Judeline and Sega Bodega travel decades of electronics in ‘Piki’

Judeline has reached a couple of weeks ago the Gold Disc for the 20,000 copies of ‘Bodhiria’, adding sales and streaming. His debut continues in the Top 75 Spanish after 42 weeks of permanence: he will have a year of his launch and people keep listening.

That has not prevented him from publishing news this summer: he has drawn an excellent Jeanette type theme called ‘Crystal girl’, a collaboration with Yerai Cortés and right now another collaboration where Sega Bodega is the main artist. It is called ‘piki’ and is very representative of the mutant sound of the producer.

With the voluptuousness of the letter in Spanish as a common denominator, ‘Piki’ begins with beats of the acid house era. After a minute, the theme is passed to the techno. At 2 minutes there is a fragment that is pure Italo, if not directly a giallo soundtrack, at that time on a Drum & Bass base that appears and disappearing. Hyperpop (or is trance, perhaps hardcore?) Emerge in the last stretch of the theme.

There is even a small trace of flamenco when Judeline changes melody at the end of a verse and says that “the night I want to touch you / I have a little thing to give you.” Fragment that closes the song after 4 minutes of travel that are adventurous, perhaps excessive, not so “pikis.”

We will see what happens to the subject in the next few days, because it is reported that “it will be accompanied by a careful visual campaign and a live performance at the Riverland Festival, in Asturias, on August 22, where both artists will perform ‘Piki’ for the first time together.” We leave you with other dates of the singer:

08/22 – Riverland Festival, Asturias 08/24 – Cooltural Festival, Almería
4/09 – Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art (CAAC), Seville
5/09 – Fiestas de Alcorcón, Madrid
6/09 – Phe Festival, Tenerife
