Jello Biafra urgently hospitalized after suffering a stroke

Jello Biafrawho was the singer of the legendary punk band Dead Kennedys and with a long career alone, he was admitted to the hospital last Saturday, March 7, after suffering a stroke caused by high blood pressure.

On social media, his own record label confirms that he is still in the hospital, now stable. “We are all very happy that he is doing well and receiving the care he needs. We will continue to report as we can.”

From Alternative Tentaclesthe artist himself has published a statement on Instagram in which he says: “I got out of my bed because I needed to go to the bathroom, my left leg collapsed and I fell to the floor. I couldn’t support the fall with my left arm either because it didn’t work either. I tried to get up, but I couldn’t. It was at that point when I realized that I was suffering from a stroke. But I still have a lot left to offer, so now it’s time to rehabilitate myself.”
