James Van der Beek, star of the series ‘Dawson Grows’, has died at the age of 48 from cancer. This was reported by his family on social networks, where they published an official statement: «He reached his final days with courage, faith and serenity. There is much to share about his desires, his love for humanity, and the sacredness of time. That time will come. For now, we ask for privacy.

Two years ago, the actor had revealed on his Instagram account that he was suffering from colorectal cancer and that he had been carrying the disease in private.
