The British Iron Maiden have announced what will be the biggest concert in their history, although in reality it will be a weekend in Knebworth that will be named after “EddFest Weekend”.
Starting next May, the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden will be offering their concerts in stadiums as an extension of their tour “Run For Your Lives” with which they celebrate their fifty years of experience. They can be seen in various cities, but now they announce what will be a real festive end to the tour.
On Saturday, July 11, the band led by bassist and composer Steve Harris will perform at Knebworth, although in reality the activities will extend throughout the weekend so that their fans – surely coming from all over England and Europe – can enjoy the event to the fullest.
Although the group will not be alone, they have specially chosen the bands that will open the festival throughout the day. And these groups are – at least until now, in the absence of any more being able to join – The Darkness, The Hu, Airbourne and The Almightly.
Aside from the concerts, a themed bar inspired by Eddie and the Iron Maiden universe will be in operation on July 10 and 11, with food inspired by the band, etc. In fact, there will be more themed areas, play areas inspired by Maiden and Eddie, a “Eddie’s Emporium” and even an audiovisual experience that will be the “Infinite Dreams Museum Experience”. Obviously, there will also be exclusive merchandising for the occasion. And according to the band, it will be a unique opportunity in history in which their fans will be able to live an experience that will last forty-eight hours.
There is the possibility of camping in the area, but you should find out about entrances and camping tickets in www.ironmaiden.com. Tickets will be on sale starting February 22.
