Jane Goodall has died at age 91. The British ethologist and primatologist, recognized for her pioneering work in the study of wild chimpanzees, has been a key figure in the promotion of the defense of animal rights. He has inspired artists like Billie Eilish, who has fired her in her Instagram stories: «Until the end, Dr. Jane Goodall continued to use her voice for those who do not have one. This is the real heroicity. Thank you Jane for racing the way and for worrying so selflessly about our planet and for all its creatures, large and small.
The Jane Goodall Institute team has communicated his death and remembered the ethologist: «The life and work of Dr. Goodall not only left an indelible mark on our understanding of chimpanzees and other species, but also of humanity and the environments that we all share. He inspired curiosity, hope and compassion in innumerable people around the world, and opened the way for many others, especially young people, who gave him hope for the future ».
Among the celebrities who have fired Goodall in networks or media are also Leonardo DiCaprio, Jane Fonda or of course Moby, who has shared a selfie with Goodall recently taken.

As you will remember, this year Goodall was one of the guests in the last season of the revolt, absolutely incredible. Goodall shared with Broncano a series of anecdotes about his career, and precisely on Tuesday, and as the country remembers, Broncano recalled Goodall’s visit to the revolt during his interview with Mónica Naranjo, ensuring that he and Goodall since then maintained an “epistolary relationship.” The revolt has lamented the death of Goodall in networks.

Goodall has been an unlikely pop culture icon that has generated imitations and parodies. Many discovered Goodall when it was portrayed – indirectly – in a memorable 2001 episode of the Simpsons, ‘Simpson Safari’. That same year, Goodall folded itself in an episode of ‘Los Thornberrys’, ‘A problem with Darwin’, although that learned, rather, the Anglo -Saxon public who saw the series in original version.

In music, Goodall has been surprisingly honored several times. Stevie Nicks dedicated a song to the Ethologist, ‘Jane’, which closes her 1994 album ‘Street Angel’. More recently, in 2023, Leona Lewis sang ‘One Step Closer’, the main song of the movie ‘Jane’, written by Diane Warren. The EP ‘Inspired by Jane’, published this year, includes compositions of Bishop Briggs or Tash Sultana, whose greatest success, which adds 300 million streamings, is titled precisely ‘Jungle’.
