Florence + The Machine point to folk horror in their next LP

Florence + The Machine are prepared to launch new music. This has been advanced during the last days, with cryptic messages, a new design of its website and a teaser in which the band led by Florence Welch points to an immersion in folk horror.

The brief clip, uploaded yesterday to the artist’s Instagram account, shows this hole in the floor frantically just to show us a foreground of her face shouting desperately to the camera. ‘Dance Fever’, the band’s last album, already had elements that could remind the folk horror of ‘Midsommar’ or ‘La Warta’, but it seems that the next LP will focus more on this aspect.

The new design of the group’s website, as well as the band logo, also points in this address. With a photograph of the background, the new logo seems taken from some millenary ritual, with the moon cycles referenced in it.

Finally, in one would be photographs uploaded to networks, the singer has also pointed to a collaboration with Idles guitarist Mark Bowen. In these, you can take a look at your personal notebook, in which some themes are listed that seem to be related to the next album by Florence + The Machine: “Witchcraft”, “Folk Horror”, “Magic”, “Locura” … In addition, a photo includes a possible track of the sound of the album: “Swans vs. Adele ».
